<p>The body of a three-year-old Indian-origin boy, who went missing mysteriously from his home in Edinburgh in Scotland Jan 15, was found 30 miles away from his home.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Malcolm Graham, assistant chief constable of Police Scotland, said that Mikaeel Kular's body was found in the Fife area in Scotland just before Friday midnight and a person was detained in connection with the investigation, the Mirror reported Saturday.<br /><br />Police are yet to confirm who the arrested person is but the report citing a source said that it is the boy's mother Rosdeep Kular who works as a beauty therapist.<br /><br />Fife is thirty miles from Edinburgh, where Mikaeel went missing.<br /><br />A bungalow at Kirkcaldy in Fife, where Mikaeel lived for a period of time before moving to Edinburgh with his mother and reportedly belonging to Mikaeel's aunt, has been sealed off.<br /><br />Following his disappearance, police combed the streets of Drylaw and Edinburgh with a group of volunteers and a dog squad, while coast guard and lifeboat crews scoured the shoreline half a mile away.<br /><br />Police also launched an aerial search for the missing boy.<br /><br />Mikaeel was last reported to have been seen when his mother, Rosdeep, put him to bed at their flat at 9 p.m. Wednesday.<br /><br />"As a result of enquiries, the body of a young child was recovered in Fife just before midnight," Graham was quoted as saying.<br /><br />"We strongly believe this to be the body of Mikaeel," he said.<br /><br />"A person has been detained in connection with the recovery of the body and members of Mikaeel's family have been informed of the recovery."<br /><br />Police, however, refused to comment on claims that the family had child custody issues.</p>
