Now, Vijay's daughter files assault case against him

Actor Vijay alias Duniya Vijay's daughter Monika has lodged a complaint with the Girinagar police seeking action against her father, her stepmother Kriti Gowda and three others for assaulting, abusing and threatening her.

According to Monika, the incident occurred at the actor's Hosakerehalli house on Monday when she had gone there to collect her clothes, driving license and other documents.

Monika stays with her mother Nagarathna, the actor's first wife, at Kempegowda Layout.

Monika sustained minor injuries on her hand and forehead. She is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, said the police.

Vijay, Kirti Gowda, Hemant, Vinod and driver Mohammed abused and assaulted her. They even banged her head against the wall, she claimed in the complaint.

She said refusing to falsely testify on Vijay's behalf in some domestic cases between him and her mother led to the assault.

Meanwhile, speaking to media over the phone, Vijay claimed that his daughter was falsely accusing him of parting ways with first wife Nagarathna. He said nobody assaulted Monica. In fact, she wanted to break into his house.

The actor shared video footage of Monica's acts. Her mother Nagarathna alleged that Monica was beaten and her hands and legs were injured.

The actor was out on bail on bail on October 1 for allegedly assaulting celebrity gym trainer, Maruthi Gowda, over a trivial issue.

Girinagar police have registered an FIR against Duniya Vijay and his friends under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 324 (assault with deadly weapon), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.
