An Indian woman was among four people who were killed in a bomb blast in Kabul late on Monday.

The woman, from Rajasthan, was working with civil society organizations in the Afghan capital. Sources said she was killed after her house collapsed due to a wave created by the explosion which occurred close to a residential complex housing foreign workers.

New Delhi strongly condemned the terror attack which left about 90 people, including many women and children, injured.

“We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly attack and wish early recovery to the injured,” said Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The Embassy of India in Kabul is making arrangements for repatriation of the mortal remains of the slain Indian national, the MEA stated.

New Delhi also stressed that the perpetrators of the “heinous attack” and those who provided them shelter should be brought to justice expeditiously.
