BJP leaders told to expose 'failures' of state govt

The BJP top brass on Sunday asked the Karnataka unit leaders to hold a door-to-door campaign against the failure of the JD(S)-Congress government in Karnataka.

The party top brass, who held a brainstorming meeting with state unit leaders, including MPs and MLAs and other senior leaders on preparation for Lok Sabha polls here, told the leaders to expose the state government’s failure to implement the loan waiver scheme, infighting, lack of co-ordination among the ministers from both the parties.

General secretary in charge of Karnataka Muralidhara Rao and national general secretary Arun Singh, who addressed the gathering, also advised the leaders to take the achievements of the NDA government to every household to ensure winning of maximum number of seats in the Lok Sabha from the state.

Amit Shah to address

The meeting will continue on Monday and party national president Amit Shah, is likely to address the leaders.

The party senior leaders also asked the MLAs and the MPs to hold bike and cycle rallies in their constituencies to create awareness about the Central government’s achievements. Advising to use social media including WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter to reach out to voters, the leaders suggested the MLAs to make a WhatsApp group each for every 10 houses and for every booth to mobilise support for the party candidates.

Emerging out of the meeting, BJP state unit president B S Yeddyurappa told reporters that it was decided in the meeting to induct maximum voters in the party and to visit each household as part of the campaign.
