President Ram Nath Kovind visited the Satsang Foundation Ashram founded by spiritual teacher Sri M at Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh, as part of his recent tour of Karnataka.

During his five-hour stay at the ashram, the President held an interaction with Sri M at Sri Guru Babaji’s shrine.

The President also inaugurated the Yogashala of the Bharat Yoga Vidya Kendra and interacted with the students of the first Yoga teacher training programme that was held at the ashram. He appreciated the students who had come from various parts of the country to Madanapalle for the course.

President Kovind said that Yoga would always be of great help in meeting the daily challenges in all spheres of life.

“The most important aspect of learning Yoga is creating a healthy mind in a healthy body as well as being able to explore deeper aspects of consciousness,” he said.

During his walk around the Ashram, the President planted a tree and laid the foundation stone for Swaasthya Hospitals, an initiative of the Satsang Foundation.

Later, he held an interaction with the students and teachers of the Satsang Vidyalaya – a free school providing holistic development, quality education, nutrition and healthcare services to the children of marginalised communities in Madanapalle.
