ACB raids net huge haul of property

This joint director of Karnataka Udyoga Mitra owns three industrial sites and fixed deposits amounting to Rs four crore. Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) searched the premises belonging to Revanna Gowda H M, joint director of Karnataka Udyoga Mitra, on July 24.

ACB sleuths had also searched the premises of Devindra, district health education officer in Kalaburagi.

The ACB officials seized documents pertaining to two residential buildings belonging to Gowda. This apart, the ACB sleuths have seized documents pertaining to two residential sites, four acres of agriculture land, gold weighing 1.5 kg, silver weighing 17.5 kg and Rs 12 lakh in cash. During the search, the ACB officials found that the officer has invested Rs four crore in fixed deposits. A senior official said that the investigation pertaining to the source of income was underway.

In the other search, the ACB sleuths have recovered documents belonging to Devindra in Kalaburagi. The district health education officer possessed two houses, five sites, 10.37 acres of land, 222 gm of gold, 2.112 kg of silver and household articles worth Rs 23.77 lakh.
