<p>Advocate and president of Dandeli Taluk Horata Samithi, Ajit Nayak, (58), was hacked to death by unidentified persons near his office on J N Road in the town at 9.30 pm on Friday.</p>.<p>The incident occurred when Nayak was heading home from his office. Miscreants attacked him with lethal weapons, leaving him grievously injured. Nayak was rushed to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.</p>.<p>The former CMC president, Nayak was active in Kali Bachao Andolan campaign.</p>.<p>The reason for murder is yet to be ascertained. The Dandeli Town police have registered a case.</p>.<p>The members of Sirsi and Karwar Bar associations boycotted the court proceedings on Saturday, condemning the murder of a lawyer in Dandeli.</p>
