A notch above regular love sagas

Dhruva Sarja reinstalls faith in acting ‘workshops’. The talented Sarja family lad’s debut is more confident. He dances enthusiastically, fights well and most importantly, is sure of himself during the climax to show just a bit of that vulnerability which is endearing.

Radhika Pandit is in fine form as Poorna, who feels betrayed by her beau. The rest clearly belongs to all-rounder Arjun. Carrying enough expectation after Ambari, the director makes sure the slip-ups are less this time. A Harsha, Imran Sardhariya, Mohan B Kere, Surya S Kiran, Deepu S Kumar and V Harikrishna along with the producers, make Addhuri a grand outing. Harikrishna is particularly inspired by the old Maria My Darling song.

Very few characters populate the story but there is drama enough, tension enough. Addhuri scores over similar love stories with the director’s treatment.
