The Delhi government on Thursday said it will rope in suggestions from all stakeholders for its ambitious free public Wi-Fi scheme.

Suggestions will be invited from industry associations, internet and telecom providers, and IT companies at the stakeholders consultation meet on March 24-26 at the Delhi secretariat.
“Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi intends to provide statewide Wi-Fi for providing internet services. This facility will open up many other economic avenues,” the government in a press statement said.

This meet is to ensure active involvement of various stakeholders, the statement added.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led government has asked the interested participants to submit their ideas, plans and business model in advance. The stakeholders will present their case in an open house forum.
