Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hyderabad metro's 30-km line, as part of the 72-km Phase 1, on November 28.

A pylon at the Miyapur station, abutting on to the Mumbai-Hyderabad highway, will be unveiled to mark the inauguration, coinciding with the three-day Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which will be attended by Ivanka Trump, the daughter of  US President Donald Trump.

Later, Modi will travel by the metro for 13 km, accompanied by Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, a source in the Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd said.

The work on the project began in  April 2012 at a cost of Rs 14,000 crore, which was later increased to Rs 18,500 crore.

The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 3,000 crore and the Centre Rs 1,458 crore. Larsen & Toubro is  executing the project.
