<p>Two alumni of ITIs were honoured for earning a salary package of around Rs 1 crore each.<br />Job fair SOPAN 2011 and AVSAR 2011, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, has been organised at ITI, Pusa to provide 6,000 job opportunities to ITI pass outs and 2,500 jobs to youth with polytechnic degrees.<br /><br />Speaking on the occasion, Dikshit said: “The job fair acts as bridge between students and industries by developing a good match between industries requirement and students’ expectation. It is a great advantage that under one umbrella, the skilled trainees will have multiple options to choose from, while the industries can get their required technical manpower easily.”<br /><br />“The Department of Training and Technical Education is emphasizing on training of trainers in order to upgrade trainers skill by keeping in view fast changing technology of industries,” she said. To encourage women participation in vocational training, 30 pc of the sanctioned seats have been reserved for women candidates.</p>
