Assault complaint against PSI

Zilla Panchayat former member and BJP leader Shivanna Aregudige has accused Town Police Station PSI Raghu of assaulting him and has filed a complaint with the superintendent of police.

Shivanna’s relative and leaders have submitted a complaint to the SP. In the complaint, Shivanna said, “I had come to KSRTC bus stand on October 21 at 11.55 am to leave for Bengaluru. The police constable and his friends who arrived there abused and assaulted me. PSI Raghu took me in a police jeep to the station and assaulted me. I have suffered injuries on my left and right eye. I have missed Rs 4,800 in cash and my chain. Even my mobile phone was damaged by the police.”

He appealed to the SP to initiate action against the PSI and the constable.
