Atal Tinkering Lab at Little Rock

Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar, is one of the 177 schools of Karnataka chosen by the Government of India to open an Atal Tinkering Lab.

The lab was inaugurated by former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik. BEO of Brahmavar Lokesh C was the chief guest. Director of Little Rock Indian School, Prof Mathew C Ninan, Principal Dr John Thomas, headmasters and Science teachers from neighbouring schools and selected students and teachers of the school attended the inauguration.

Capt Ganesh Karnik said that the mission of ATL is to create one million neoteric child innovators in India by 2020. He also emphasised that the ATLs will be hubs of innovation where young minds will accelerate their ideas to solve unique local problems.

He urged students to make maximum use of the lab and go beyond the regular curriculum and textbook learning to explore skills of future, such as design and computational thinking, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence.
