Case for decentralisation of price stabilisation
It will certainly not be an understatement to say that the prices of pulses are at record low. The prices of the 5 major pulses (Tur, Urad, Chana, Moong and Masur) are in the comfortable range of Rs 60-70 per kg in the month of August, this year, as compared to prohibitively previous high levels of Rs 100-150 on account of lower production due to drought.
