Ayyappa devotees to urge SC to review order

Mangaluru Ayappa Seva Samithi, through Bhajan singing on October 9, will urge the Supreme Court to review its order on allowing women into the Sabarimala temple.

At a meeting convened in Sanghaniketan on Saturday, RSS and VHP leaders decided to convene a meeting of Ayyappa devotees at Kadri ground on October 9 (5 pm).

From Kadri grounds, Ayyappa devotees will take out a procession singing Bhajans to the Kadri temple. A prayer will be offered and a memorandum will be submitted to Centre on ensuring that the apex court’s order will not hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

RSS Dakshina Prantha Saha Karyavaha Prakash P S, VHP Prantha President Prof M B Puranik, Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others were present.
