Buggy service at Kukke temple

Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has introduced a battery-operated buggy (vehicle) to help senior citizens and physically challenged devotees visiting the temple.

Realising the need to help the physically challenged and senior citizens who visit the temple, the temple committee had purchased a buggy at a cost of Rs 6 lakh, said a press release.

The buggy has six seats and ferries devotees from Car Street to the Gopura of the temple and to Adi Subrahmanya Temple.

Temple Committee Chairman Nityananda Mundodi said, “Many senior citizens and physically challenged devotees visit the temple daily. The buggy will help in reducing inconveniences faced by them.”
