Avanturaa Choppers opens 1st showroom in Bengaluru

Manufacturer of street-legal Chopper motorcycles, Avanturaa Choppers, on Wednesday commenced sales of two models - Rudra and Pravega in India.

The company's first dealership was opened in Bengaluru. It has plans to open two more- one each in Hyderabad and Delhi soon. It had announced entry into Indian premium motorcycle market in November last year.

The company said it has recently received ARAI certification for its maiden models- Rudra and Pravega, which are approximately 10 feet and 9 feet in length, respectively. These are the first 2,000cc motorcycles to be manufactured in India.

Its first dealer principal is Ashwin Jain, founder of Driven By You Mobility LLP, who manages super car and premium motorcycle self-drive rental company through Driven Cafes in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Gaurav A Aggarwal, CEO of Avanturaa Choppers said, "With this launch, our ambition to create a global impact from India has begun. The growing culture of leisure riding in India and the number of connoisseurs pioneering it, gives us confidence that the market is ready for Avanturaa Choppers."

Its manufacturing facility is in Maharashtra and it has a capacity to produce 400 units a year. "We have invested around Rs 20 crore for the facility," Aggarwal said.

Amitabh Biswas, CMO of Avanturaa, said they are the fifth motorcycle company born in India and the South market is a better market for them. By the end of this year, the company wants to be present in four cities and expects each dealer to sell three to four bikes a month.

It plans to launch one new model every year. Customers can customise these choppers and they are delivered within 2.5 to 3 months. Rudra and Pravega are priced at Rs 23.90 lakh and Rs 21.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), respectively.
