<p>Bengaluru: The Central Goods and Services Tax, Bengaluru Zone has felicitated highest taxpayers from Karnataka to mark the eighth anniversary of GST implementation. The highest taxpayers such as Toyota Kirloskar, SAP India, Texas Instruments, and TVS Motor among others were felicitated.</p>.<p>As part of the celebrations, a GST Pakhwada was organised from June 16 to 30. Helpdesks were set up across the zone to address taxpayer queries and grievances. A special taxpayer facilitation drive introduced and promoted the Grievance Redressal Mechanism and biometric Aadhaar authentication for GST registration at more than 100 centres across Karnataka.</p>.<p>Karnataka recorded ₹1.61 lakh crore in GST revenue for FY 2024–25, becoming the second-highest contributor after Maharashtra. The state’s taxpayer base has grown to 10.45 lakh, ranking fifth nationwide.</p>
