<p>Bengaluru: Cognite, a B2B AI corporation based out of Norway, opened its Bangalore office on Wednesday, with headcount of 35 employees, which it plans to grow to over 150 by the end of the calendar year.</p>.<p>The company into providing AI support of improving production efficiency and driving digital transformation, is keen to expand its presence in the country. CogniteCEO, Girish Rishi said they are currently in talks with behemoths like Reliance, Mahindra, Aditya Birla and SR Steels.</p>.<p>He told <em>DH</em> that, “We see industrial AI as a quintessentially Indian thing. This should be owned by the Indian government, by Indian business, by Indian universities, by Indian technology providers and we hope to be serving our customers with an ever-growing population of our employees here.”</p>.<p>The company is currently in a partnership with industrial automation giant, Rockwell Automation and India’s largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, Cairn. He said that they also have strategic relations with SLB, a global multinational oilfield services company.</p>.<p>He stated that, “In contemporary times, manufacturing is moving to India and many companies are contemplating establishing factories and plants here. Cognite is betting on Bangalore and is willing to grow.”</p>
