<p> Nitin Prasad, the current cluster general manager for lubricants sales and marketing for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will become the Chairman of Shell companies in India from October 1, 2016.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He will replace the current Shell India Chairman Yasmine Hilton, whose tenure will end by September 30, 2016, states the company in a release issued on Monday.<br /><br />Prasad, who is an electrical engineer from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, took up his current appointment in 2011 as General Manager, Shell Lubricants. He has been instrumental in turning around the lubricants business in India.<br /><br />Hilton began her career in Shell in 1979 in IT and went on to hold a number of senior posts in the group, including chief information officer for the UK, and for Shell’s global retailing.<br />As Chairman, Hilton steered the company through a long-running and complex tax dispute, the favourable outcome of which was a positive one for foreign investment in India.<br />DH News Service</p>
