SBI inaugurates Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, : State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty on Wednesday inaugurated the bank’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru.

The GCC marks a first-of-its-kind initiative by an Indian bank, underscoring SBI’s commitment to supporting the rapidly-growing GCC ecosystem in India. SBI has also established a dedicated relationship management team in Bengaluru to cater exclusively to the banking and financial needs of GCCs, a statement said.

On the occasion, 11 new SBI branches were also inaugurated in the presence of Joohi Smita Sinha, Chief General Manager, Bengaluru Circle, along with other General Managers of the country’s largest lender.

As part of its CSR initiatives, the bank announced contributions towards social welfare, including upgradation of 35 Government Primary Schools across Karnataka, provision of ENT diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to the ENT Wing of Bagchi–Parthasarathy Hospital, IISc Medical School, a 50,000-tree plantation drive on the Tumkur University campus, and donation of an e-Ambulance to the Madras Engineer Group (MEG) & Centre, Bengaluru.
