<p> Given the potential of wrestling in India, Sony Six sports entertainment channel (a part of Multi Screen Media), and TNA Wrestling — an international wrestling entertainment organisation — have teamed up for India’s first ever ‘live’ televised wrestling event.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The final show, ‘TNA One Night Only’ will be held in Mumbai at NSCI, Worli, on December 4, 2015. It will be broadcast live in India, the United States, and across the world.<br /><br />Briefing reporters here on Saturday, Sony Six and Sony Kix Business Head Prasana Krishnan said, “Wrestling is the most important sports after cricket in India. WWE and TNA are very significant content providers on sports channels, with TNA catching up aggressively in the last few years.”<br /><br />Krishnan also announced the launch of talent search for India’s next big wrestling star to join wrestler Mahabali Shera on the TNA roster.<br /><br />“The talent search will be held with the support of Dalip Singh (popularly known as The Great Khali),” Krishnan said.<br /><br />Earlier, the final lap of four-city media tour of TNA Wrestling concluded in the presence of TNA stars Rebel, Ethan Carter III, and India’s own Mahabali Shera.<br /><br />The media tour, which kick-started from Mumbai on October 19, saw stakeholders making major announcements. The three event tour itself will start on December 2. Around 25 international wrestlers will take part.<br /><br />‘It is for real’<br /><br />TNA Executive Vice-President of Television and Talent Relations John Gaburick said, “Yes, the fights are real and the wrestlers are insured. Our athletes go to the ring, give their body. The physicality of sports is very impactful. WWE does a wonderful job...I have worked for many years. The difference between their product and our product is I believe our athletes are going to put a wonderful show.”<br /><br />Krishnan chipped in, “The number of fractures are for real. So are the blood and sweat.”<br /><br /></p>
