Advocates join hands to help flood-affected

Some senior counsels, advocates and former Judges of the Karnataka High Court have come together and contributed a sum of over 14 lakh to the flood relief fund. Among those who donated are Advocate General Udaya Holla and former Justice Nagamohan Das.

The contribution has been collected by The Advocates’ Association, Bengaluru, and will be donated to the Flood Relief Fund. A sum of Rs 5 lakh was donated by the Advocate General, while many senior counsels including Ashok Haranahalli and Shashi Kiran Shetty donated Rs 1 lakh.

President of the Association, A P Ranganatha said, “Ee are coordinating with the District Judiciary of Kodagu and Advocates’ Association of Kodagu for coordinating the relief efforts there. We will also be donating to the flood relief in Kerala by coordinating with the Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association.
