Two men committed suicide in the city in different cases.

A 24-year-old tailor of a garment factory committed suicide on Saturday evening in Kodichikkanahalli, South Bengaluru.

The deceased, Vedaprakash, was from Bihar and lived in a rented house in Muneshwara Block with three friends. According to them, Vedaprakash was depressed from the time he returned from his native three days ago.

According to a senior police officer, the victim's roommates were away when he took the extreme step. They returned home and knocked on the door repeatedly. They grew suspicious on not getting a response and peeped through the window to find Vedaprakash hanging from the ceiling fan. They swiftly alerted the police, who sent the body to the St John's Hospital for postmortem. The police are yet to ascertain the cause of Vedaprakash's death.

Meanwhile, a painter, Bhaskar (32), committed suicide in his home at Lingarajapuram, Bagaluru Layout in East Bengaluru, on Saturday night. The police suspect a row with his wife might have led him to end his life. On Sunday morning, Bhaskar's parents found him hanging from a ceiling fan. His body was sent to the Ambedkar Hospital for postmortem.
