The recent downpour and strong winds have left many parts of the city in darkness. According to Bescom officials, as many as 111 complaints pertaining to broken electric poles were received, of which 25 are pending.
The officials said that 98 trees fell and damaged the cables. Most of the complaints were reported from West and North Bengaluru. The officials added that work on resolving all the issues was under way.
An official also said that in parts of Bengaluru East, there was intermittent power supply due to maintenance work.
