BMTC drivers, conductors included in free Covid-19 vaccine list

Drivers and conductors working with the BMTC have now been added to the list of candidates eligible to receive free Covid vaccine.

In a communication issued on Saturday, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation said discussions have been held with Health Department officials to include drivers and conductors, working on the frontline for a year, in the list of essential workers eligible for the vaccine.

The BMTC has identified five hospitals where the staffers can get vaccinated by showing the staff bus pass, Aadhaar card or PAN card. They can get the Covaxin jab from 10 am to 4 pm.
