South Regional Deputy Controller of Mines M S Waghmare, Goa Regional Controller A B Panigrahi, Deputy Controller, IBM, B L Pokriwala and senior geologist Tirunakkkarasu form the team. They will visit 24 mines, already identified and submit daily reports to Central Ministry for Mines.
The Centre had issued orders to the State to depute two senior officials from the Department of Mines and Geology, however, no official has contacted the central taskforce.
M S Waghmare said: “We have no information about the officials deputed to coordinate with us. We have issued an instruction to the Department of Mines that officials have to be present on Monday morning.”
