<p>The deadline for submitting suggestions and reviews by the public for the draft ‘Outdoor Signage and Public Messaging Bylaw-2018’ has been extended by a day to Thursday.</p>.<p>“As it is a government holiday on Wednesday, we have extended the deadline until Thursday. All suggestions received until 5.30 pm will be considered,” said a senior BBMP official who did not wish to be named.</p>.<p>The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had published the draft bylaws on its website (http://bbmp.gov.in) on September 29 after a council meeting passed them on August 28. After receiving the Urban Development Department's approval, the civic body asked the public to provide their suggestions by October 24, 2018.</p>.<p>“We have received 70 submissions through letters and five through e-mail. We are yet to open them. We will go through them after the deadline. We will certainly include the suggestions if they are convincing,” he said.</p>.<p>The draft bylaws were prepared after the Karnataka High Court pulled up the civic body for the ad hoardings across the city.</p>
