Engineering graduate hangs herself at home

A 22-year-old engineering graduate reportedly hanged herself at her home in JP Nagar 6th Stage, South Bengaluru, on Saturday.

Sreesh, originally from Andhra Pradesh, is said to have taken the extreme step in her bedroom between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm when her parents were watching television in the hall. When they later called her for dinner, she didn’t respond.

They panicked and broke open the door only to find her hanging from the ceiling, the jurisdictional Puttenahalli police said.

Sreesh had recently graduated in engineering and was looking for a job.

Police have opened a case of unnatural death and are investigating why she ended her life.
