ISEC director accused of ‘harassing’ professor

A professor at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) has filed a police complaint, accusing the premier research institute’s director and assistant professor of “mentally harassing and humiliating” him.

The police complaint filed by Dr Ramappa K B names the ISEC Director, Chandrakanth M G, and Manjunatha A V, Assistant Professor, Agricultural Development and Rural Transformation Centre, ISEC.

Ramappa claimed the duo had been “harassing” him for since 2016. He went on leave but the “harassment did not stop”.

The Chandra Layout police have booked the duo under sections of the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and summoned them for questioning.
