A couple from the City, who were in love, has allegedly committed suicide in Vijayanagar police limits in Mysore on Wednesday.

N B Surabhi, 19, daughter of Basappa, a resident of Raghavan Nagar in Bangalore and Suresh, son of Krishnappa, Halebeedu village in Hunsur taluk in Mysore district, are the dead.

The girl had consumed poison, while the youth was found hanging from the ceiling when the police broke open the door of a house in Vijayanagar second stage.

Surabhi was a student of Siddeshwara Institute of Technology in her locality, while Suresh was employed in Bangalore.

According to the landlord, Suresh was regularly visiting the house in the first floor taken on rent by his relative.

House owner unaware

On Wednesday, Suresh came with the girl and asked for the keys. It was only when the police informed them at 7.30 pm, did the house owner come to know about the incident.
Police said they learnt about the incident from Suresh’s relative in Bangalore. He may have informed them before ending his life.
