Rain in Mysuru, Kodagu

Parts of Mysuru region received light to heavy rainfall on Wednesday.Hunsur, Periyapatna and adjoining villages in Mysuru district received good rain. The rainfall, which began at 4.30 pm, lashed for nearly 30 minutes in Hunsur town.

There was heavy rain in Mysuru late Wednesday night. Holenarsipur town in Hassan district received hailstones, Nagamangala and K R Pet in Mandya district also received light rain. Heavy rain lashed Siddapura in Virajpet taluk in Kodagu district.

The showers brought cheer to coffee planters and farmers. The sky remained overcast throughout the day in the district. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mysuru, has predicted light rain in parts of the region in the next four to five days.
