Second probe ordered into 'graft' at CKP

The district registrar (DR) of Cooperative Societies, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, has ordered a second inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat (CKP).

Acting on a complaint by Sridevi Rao the registrar had appointed G Puttaswamy, senior sub-registrar, Hebbal, to investigate alleged misappropriation of funds. The investigation officer, in his report had stated that the probe was incomplete in respect of some non-members in the managing committee of the Parishat.

On November 12, the district registrar directed the inquiry officer on presence of non-members in the managing committee and their involvement in alleged misuse of funds. The DR has also asked the investigating officer to probe alleged burning of paintings at the Parishat and question some of the staffers over the allegations.
