TenderSURE in Gandhinagar to be completed by Sept 2019

Mayor R Sampath Raj has promised that the TenderSURE work undertaken in Gandhinagar will be completed by the end of September 2019. He spoke about the deadline when he visited the spot for inspection along with BBMP officials on Monday.

Subedar Chatra Road, Gubbi Thotadappa Road, Dhanvantari Road, WH Hanumantappa Road and Cottonpete Road are being remodelled under the TenderSURE project. Here, ducts of Optic Fibre Cables (OFCs), water pipelines by BWSSB and power lines by BESCOM will be laid beneath the road and a provision will be made to access them as and when required.

A total of six major arterial roads and 15 arterial roads are taken up under this project in the locality at a cost of Rs 129.35 crore. He also inspected the ongoing work at the Shivananda Circle flyover.

‘Don’t divide the corporation’

Vatal Nagaraj, a pro-Kannada activist, met the mayor and BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad on Monday. He asked the mayor not to divide the existing corporation into five corporations. The division is as per a report by retired IAS officer B S Patil, submitted to Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, on BBMP restructuring.
