<p>Congress, unable to accept the truth of surgical strike and airstrike, has plunged into petty politics over Pulwama attack, BJP district unit general secretary H D Thammaiah said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing reporters here, on Friday, he said, “The Congress had stooped so low as to disrespect the martyrdom of our soldiers only to cover the failure of its leaders.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Thammaiah said, “It was former prime minister late Jawaharlal Nehru who made Kashmir a disputed land. In a shameful gesture, leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu have been batting for Pakistan.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Ridiculing the recent comment by former chief minister Siddaramaiah, he said that Siddaramaiah need not have to fear the people wearing ‘Tilak’.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Is Siddaramaiah not a Hindu?” he asked and said it was obvious that the former chief minister was involved in vote bank politics and was only trying to appease a section of the population.</p>.<p class="bodytext">BJP Spokespersons Varasiddhi Venugopal said the people were being sensitised by the party workers about the pro-development works done by Modi government.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Parliamentary elections. Party leaders will meet booth workers from March 11 to 15, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Names of Shobha Karandlaje, Jayaprakash Hegde, Mattaru Ratnakara Hegde and D N Jeevaraj are in the forefront in the list of ticket aspirants for Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency.
