In order to gain field experience, 57 students accompanied by two faculties, Mamatha and Asha, went on an educational trip within the city limits.

The journey started early in the morning. The curious chunk of students first visited the Parle company where they were received warmly. The students were taken to the production unit and were surprised by the manufacturing process. “We felt very happy when we were offered biscuits and toffees,” beamed Chandana, one of the students.
Later, the team proceeded to ‘Lazza’, a well-equipped ice cream factory at Bidadi. The students had the opportunity to see this small industrial unit. It had a freezing room for storage with a temperature of -20 degree celsius. Needless to say, the youngsters tasted delicious ice-creams here.

Last but not the least, the visit to the Coca Cola company was a memorable one for the students. The manager welcomed the students wholeheartedly and took them to the unit where products like Coca Cola, Thums Up, Fanta, Sprite and Mazza are manufactured. The state-of-the-art equipment caught the attention of the students.

“Our educational trip ended in the evening and it was really enlightening. It provided us an opportunity to peek into the inside world of industries. We had an inexplicable experience as it provided us joy, information and unforgettable moments,” adds Chandana.

Manoj, another student, said that the tour was well organised. “I would like to thank our Principal Dr N Balasubramanya, J Parameshwaraih, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management and Dr Sharmila. We are also grateful to all the three companies for educating us. It was a different experience altogether,” he said.
