103rd birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh

Student Federation of India and Indian Democratic Youth Federation distric unit jointly organised a memorial function on Monday, the 103rd birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh.

Reddy was speaking after inaugurating a seminar on ‘Students of the Nation-The Future Challenges of the Youth.’

Imperialists are trying to prevent India from becoming self-dependent. The citizens should in turn prevent their plans from succeeding. Students and youth need to understand the history of the nation properly. People who divide the nation using forces like religion, caste and communities should be kept at bay, he warned.

Dr Dominique of the Bangalore University PG Kannada Department said people are tormented by the corrupt attitude and behaviour of officials and politicians. Students and youth should fight such behaviour unitedly, he too stressed.

Home Security Force district commandant and Methodist College lecturer B Mariswamy spoke during the occasion.

DYFI district president B V Sampangi presided over the gathering. District secretary M Vijayakrishna was present.

FIS district unit president V Ambarish made the opening speech. DYFI taluk unit secretary K V Manjunath welcomed the gathering. Amaresh proposed the vote of thanks.
