Not fully happy: Pejawar

Last Updated 30 September 2010, 19:24 IST

“To divide the land between Hindus and Muslims is not practical. Having temple and mosque side by side can lead to tension and skirmishes, which should be avoided. However, I welcome the court ruling that the place where the makeshift temple of Lord Ram exists belongs to Hindus,” the Pejawar mutt head, who was in the forefront in the Ram Janambhoomi movement.

“I request that no one should file an appeal against the high court verdict. There is always scope for talks and discussion. Some adjustments in the share of land can still be made through discussions,” he said.
