The petitioners, N Venkatesh and others had moved the High Court challenging the Bangalore University circular dated June 6, 2009, which prevented them from writing examination in Kannada during the exams scheduled on June 28, 2009.
The petitioners questioned the order contending that it was unfair since even the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) allowed candidates to take its examinations in Kannada.
