KSRTC deploys additional buses

Speaking at a press conference in the city on Friday, Senior Divisional Controller, Prakash said that 200 buses from Bangalore Central division, 70 buses from Mysore rural division, 30 buses from Mysore City division, 50 buses from Mandya division and 30 buses from Chamarajanagar division will be deployed during the Dasara festival. These buses will be available until October 18.  Prakash said that these buses are in addition to more than 1,000 buses which are already operating in the district.

He said that around 267 buses will be bringing in visitors from Hassan, Mandya, Mysore, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar districts. People can also make use of one-day pass costing Rs 70 to travel to surrounding tourist places such as Chamundi Hills, K R S Dam, Srirangapatna, Nanjangud and inside Mysore city. Additional buses have also been introduced to inter-state destinations such as Chennai, Madurai, Ooty Prakash added.

KSRTC is also offering package tours named ‘Giri Darshini’, ‘Jala Darshini’, ‘Deva Darshini’ and ‘Nagara Darshini’. For details contact enquiry at 2443490/ 2520853/ 2424995.
