His order comes in the wake of recent discovery of excess allocation in work codes.
In a circular, the Commissioner has asked the officers to execute the projects as recommended by the corporators of the respective wards and the funds allocated for various projects like desilting drains, covering the pot-holes and construction of houses under the 22.75 per cent scheme.
He directed the officers to complete the work after getting permission from the jurisdictional authorities and the standing committee concerned. They should also seek a work code to execute the projects.
Siddaiah made it clear that under any circumstances the fund allocation will not be increased over and beyond the prescribed amount besides, at least 10 percent of the grants be kept reserved. Officers have to get clearance of estimates by the standing Committee on Taxation and Finance.
