The deceased, Venkatesh, from Basaveshwarnagar, was running a mineral water bottle packaging agency in Kengeri.
A few persons noticed his body lying on the road and informed the police. Some suspects strangulated him and dumped the body. Police said Venkatesh was allegedly involved in a murder case in Ramanagar recently. Old rivalry could be the reason behind his murder. A team to arrest the suspects has been constituted.
Auto driver dies
Lakshman (45), an auto driver and a resident of Azadnagar, died at K C General Hospital on Monday afternoon.
Lakshman was an alcoholic and collapsed on the road while returning home on September 30. He was rushed to K C General Hospital where doctors revealed that he had consumed poison. He was in the ICU.
He failed to respond to the treatment and died, the police said.
Techie commits suicide
A 25-year-old software engineer committed suicide by hanging at her house in Konanakunte Cross on Sunday.
Police said, the deceased, Chamundeshwari, is said to have taken the extreme step allegedly due to her mother’s pressure for getting married.
Chamundeshwari was tilted towards spiritual life and was not interested in getting married. Her mother Jayamma would always force her to marry. Unable to bear her mother’s pressure she decided to end life. She locked locked herself inside a room and hanged herself.
She was staying with her mother Jayamma, elder brother Aravind and a younger sister.
