Three women naxals surrender in C'magalur

Mallika alias Kavitha, Varale Jaya and Komala, who were active in Sringeri and Balehonnur police station limits, agreed to the surrender package and returned to mainstream of the society. It can be recalled that Hagalaganji Venkatesha had surrendered before the police on September 28. With the surrender of three women, the total number of naxals surrendered in the district rose to four after the announcement of the surrender package.

Facilities
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration will provide all facilities for the naxals after their surrender. More naxals are expected to come forward to surrender and come back to mainstream of the society soon, he added.

Those who surrender will get a job either in government or in any other registered co-operative society. In addition, they will also get Rs 50,000, title deed for land and other infrastructure development for their dwellings, Gowda said adding that the government is committed to distribute benefits under the package.

The district administration has plans to provide job for those who surrendered in a readymade dress manufacture unit which will be opened in Sringeri next week, he said adding that measures have been adopted to increase the sales of the unit.
Gowda said that all the three surrendered women belong to the Green Category of the package. Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar assured adequate police protection to all naxals after their surrender.
