K S Muddappa Memorial Trust had organised the function in honour of Nagarajaiah.
Yeddyurappa remembered his days as a student of Nagarajaiah way back in late 1950s in Mandya. He said his government had announced Rs 5 lakh for district level Kannada Sahitya Sammelans and the credit of getting the classical tag to Kannada language should go to his rule.
