Growing violent and unruly during the proceedings at the Bombay High Court on Tuesday, Kasab picked up fights with the two judges, the prison security guards, spat on the web camera and made nonsensical demands.

Kasab urged the Division Bench, comprising Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice R V More, to allow him to come to the high court to attend proceedings in person.  “Madam, main court mein aana chahata hoon (Madam, I want to come to the court),” Kasab said after seeking permission to go to the washroom. However, Justice Desai replied: “This is not the practice. We are not looking at evidence. We are only hearing arguments. Speak to your lawyer.”

But, when his requests were turned down by the Bench, Kasab grew restless and was later seen arguing with the cops guarding him at his bomb-proof cell in the Arthur Road Central Jail. The audio, however was not audible. Due to security reasons, Kasab was denied permission to attend the hearings in person and is instead beamed in through video-conference.

Towards the end of the first session after the judges left the courtroom for lunch, Kasab is reported to have spat on the camera. Though the jail officials discreetly switched off the camera at the right moment, they later informed the court of the spitting incident. When the hearing resumed in the post-lunch session, Kasab once again spoke to the judges. “Send me to the US. I want to see the outside world. Why have you put me here?”
