Addressing the gathering after releasing the book ‘Samajamukhi-Sadhaki: Sarala B Kanchan’ written by M Janaki Brahmavar, Professor at Mangalore University College Bhuvaneshwari Hegde opined that women should imbibe the courage to articulate themselves at any given condition without breaking down even while facing dire consequences.
The bravery should be coupled with moral restrictions. They should overcome their flaws to expose their hidden abilities.
The financial and social arena remains void without the contributions of women. She is a fraction of the ongoing developments in the society, she said.
The programme was inaugurated by former ZP President K C Kunder. District Women’s Consumer Society President Harini Damodhar presided.
Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare Department, Udupi Vijayalaxmi Shenoy, Gynaecologist Dr Shubhageetha, Vasudev Boloor from Mangalore were present.
