Prakash said he had not put the demand for a Cabinet berth before the chief minister. “The chief minister has assured me to sanction Rs 500 crore for drinking water projects in the district. If the projects are sanctioned it is as good as a Cabinet berth for me,” he said. The government would induct new faces into the Cabinet only after the HC delivers its judgement on petitions of 16 disqualified MLAs, he added.
