The commission does not seem to have done anything in the last eight years as every bit of information, calendar of events, timeline and even its composition is of 2002 vintage.

The government website (http://populationcommission.nic.in) shows NCP as an 85-member body with 12 permanent invitees while its strength was pruned to 30-odd members long ago. In fact, many members in the panel mentioned in the website have either passed away or lost their posts.

The latest health information on the health front is from national family health survey II while NFHS III was released in 2005-06 and the fourth edition of NFHS is expected now.
And nobody can contact the commission or make any suggestions as those two pages are still under construction even eight years after the website was created.

“It is unfortunate if the website has not been updated as the commission did many things in the last eight years,” said A R Nanda, a member of the commission.
