Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, on his way to Kittur, he questioned the source of crores of rupees involved in ‘purchasing’ opposition party MLAs.
“Yeddyurappa says he will order an inquiry into resort politics and the CD showing the episode involving MLAs Suresh Gowda and Srinivas. If he (Yeddyurappa) has the courage, he should order a probe into ‘Operation Lotus’ also. Yeddyurappa himself is responsible for the present political anarchy in the State,” Siddaramaiah said.
A decision on taking a delegation to Delhi to seek the dismissal of the BJP government and imposition of the President’s Rule in the State, would be taken after discussing the issue in the Congress legislative party meeting to be held in Bangalore on Monday, Siddaramaiah added.
In Bangalore, JD(S) Spokesperson Y S V Datta expressed views similar to Siddaramaiah’s. While welcoming the Chief Minister’s decision to order a probe into attempts to destablise the government, He demanded that the two rounds of Operation Lotus too be inquired into.
