Satish Chandra, who is said to be well-connected, on Tuesday told the police that he was robbed of his golden jewellery. However, he had claimed that he had fooled the six kidnappers by saying that he was wearing imitation jewellery.

Satish had claimed that the Marathi-Hindi speaking abductors wanted him to have business transactions with them. He was kidnapped in a SUV when he was about to leave for yoga class. But a day after his return, he told Deccan Herald that some masked men barged into house and laid their hands on his wife's jewellery and some cash in the bed room. They ordered him to accompany them. The tucked him into the SUV and cruised towards Hosur Road. All along, they were threatening him to call his wife or family members to get cash.

He said that one of the gang members had even demanded Rs 25 lakh and had threatened to kill him. But later, they released him on the highway. He called his brother and reached home. However, he insisted that he did not carry cash with him.

Satish felt uncomfortable and did not answer questions on what did the gang members do with him? Where did they take him? Where did they offer him food? What was their motive?  Satish's brother Surendra Kumar, who was with him, kept telling: "Let's thank the god for his (Satish's) safe return." Surprisingly, the police did not take Satish to Krishnagiri as announced earlier.
